…new 1099 deadlines for 2016?

Form 1099-MISC for reporting nonemployee compensation are due by JANUARY 31, 2017 for payments made in 2016. Penalties are: $50 per return if filed within 30 days, $100 if filed before August 1st, and $260 if filed after August 1st. If you are found to have intentionally disregarded the filing requirement, the penalty is at least $530 per return WITH NO MAXIMUM PENALTY LIMIT.
